Tracy White

 

Tracy White’s story is built on hard work, sacrifice, leadership, and excellence. A man who never asked for attention—he simply earned respect every time he stepped onto the field. A two-time MEAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2000 and 2001, he started all 44 games of his career at Howard University. He recorded 100 tackles in three of four seasons, led the Bison in tackles every single year, and left as Howard University's all-time leading tackler with an incredible 500 career tackles. He was a three-time First Team All-MEAC selection, the 2001 Black College Defensive Player of the Year, and earned both NCAA Division I-AA All-American and Black College All-American honors.

 

Then came the NFL. Beginning his professional career with the Seattle Seahawks, he spent more than a decade competing with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, and New England Patriots, where he fulfilled every football player's dream by taking the field as a starting linebacker in the Super Bowl. Today, his greatest victories happen away from the stadium. He is a devoted husband to Shamika White, a proud father of four, a loving grandfather, and a mentor to the next generation. He pours his knowledge into young athletes, including his own sons, Togan White and Major White, helping shape tomorrow's champions. And if you happen to challenge him on the golf course... don't say you weren't warned—he doesn't lose!

From St. Stephen, South Carolina, he was known at Howard as "Quiet Storm." To his late father, he was "Hollywood." Across North Carolina, he's simply called "Legend." A true Howard Bison, an NFL veteran, a champion, a mentor, and a legend... TRACY WHITE!
