Ron Williamson

Ron Williamson is a native of Columbus, Ohio, whose basketball journey has been defined by excellence as
both a player and coach. A standout at Howard University from 1999 to 2003, Williamson enjoyed one of the
most accomplished careers in program history. As a senior, he was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic
Conference (MEAC) Player of the Year for the 2002–03 season after leading the conference with his
exceptional scoring and leadership.

More than two decades later, Williamson continues to hold two of Howard University's most remarkable

single-game scoring records: a school-record 52 points against North Carolina A&T in 2003, and a school-
record 11 three-point field goals against Georgetown in 2001 during a 41-point performance. These

achievements remain a testament to his elite offensive ability and place among the greatest players in
Howard basketball history.

Following his collegiate career, Williamson built a successful career in sales, first in the automotive industry
and later in home improvement sales and sales training. Despite his professional success, his greatest
passion has always been the game of basketball and mentoring young athletes.
In 2013, Williamson began coaching AAU and travel basketball in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area,
dedicating countless hours to player development. His commitment helped numerous student-athletes
earn opportunities to compete at the collegiate level.

After relocating to Los Angeles in 2021, Williamson continued his impact on the game by helping grow
Team Why Not Basketball Club's middle school AAU program and joining the high school coaching ranks
alongside his former Howard teammate, Reggie Morris Jr.

Williamson is entering his sixth season as a varsity assistant coach and his fifth season at Redondo Union
High School. During his tenure, he has played an integral role in establishing Redondo Union as one of
California's premier high school basketball programs while helping develop four players who have gone on
to compete at the NCAA Division I level.

Whether as a record-setting player or a respected coach and mentor, Ron Williamson has dedicated his life
to the game of basketball. His legacy is defined not only by his accomplishments on the court, but by his
lasting commitment to developing the next generation of student-athletes.
