Howard University Athletics Announces the 2026 Hall of Fame Inductees

The legacy of excellence continues at The Mecca.

Howard University Athletics proudly announces the 2026 Howard University Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Class, honoring former student-athletes, championship teams, administrators, and supporters whose impact helped shape the proud tradition of Bison Athletics.

The Bi-Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place:

Date: Friday, October 16, 2026 at 7:00 PM

Place: Martin’s Crosswinds, 7400 Greenway Center Drive, Greenbelt, Maryland 20770

This year’s celebration will recognize:

• 23 Former Student-Athletes

• 1 Administrator

• 7 Championship Teams

• 7 Buffalo Soldier Award Recipients

Kery Davis is being recognized for his leadership, vision, and commitment to elevating Howard Athletics while continuing to build a nationally recognized culture of excellence for Bison student-athletes and programs.

Team Inductees

Championship culture has always been part of Howard Athletics history. The following teams will be inducted into the Hall of Fame for their remarkable accomplishments and contributions to Bison pride:

• 1996-1999 Women’s Basketball Championship Teams

• 2007 Women’s Championship Softball Team

Buffalo Soldier Award Recipients

The Buffalo Soldier Award recognizes individuals whose loyalty, dedication, and support have strengthened Howard Athletics over time.
