Michael Archie

 

Michael "Mike" Archie is a former athlete and retired broadcast and record industry professional with over 20 years of experience within the industry.

Mike, a three-time Division I All-American, was a member of Howard's nationally ranked 4 x 400 Meter, Mile Relay and Sprint Medley teams and a two-time MEAC 800 Meter Champion. He is Howard's all-time middle-distance record holder in the 800.

Archie holds a B.A. in Broadcast Management from Howard University School of Communications and worked at WHUR-FM, for over a decade, serving as Public Service Director, Music Director and as a swing announcer.

Throughout his Radio and Records career, he produced live Howard University Football and Basketball broadcasts and Public Affairs Events, including Project Harvest, The Morning Sound Breakfast Club, The 20th Anniversary March on Washington and Live Broadcasts from Disneyworld.
